Setting goals and working hard to achieve them is essential to how I like to live by example. As a salon owner, my primary focus is to create an inspirational and motivational atmosphere for my team and myself, striving to be ahead of the crowd when it comes to education and the latest hair trends.
From pursuing a career in hairdressing at the age of 15, I educated myself through the esteemed Toni&Guy Oxford Street Academy in London, and now with over 20 years experience, I have worked my way up through the education structure of Toni&Guy International, to Artistic Director and National Educator as well as Label.M Product Ambassador.
My husband and I bought the Toni&Guy Perth Central salon and following our major renovation in 2017, we’ve become the Top Performing T&G Salon in Australia for 2017, with a team of twelve. A career achievement we are extremely proud of.
Working with Toni&Guy has provided many opportunities to represent them via several competition platforms, shows and events as part of the Artistic Team, additionally utilising my knowledge as a guest blogger for T&G, and winning WA/NT Hairdresser of the Year (2013+2014).
Humbly, I’ve used my platform as a hairdresser to contribute to my local and the wider community through being an ambassador for the Toni & Guy Pink Scissor Campaign; I’m a marathon runner raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness; in 2017 I set up the Cutting Hair for the Homeless Initiative with Rauh for Hair Aid, and I’ve started a ‘Ban the Bag’ campaign for Toni and Guy with the aim of T&G salons being plastic bag free within the next year.
My passion is education and contributing to the industry across many levels; I love teaching others and giving them confidence and exposing them to opportunities the industry has given me. I am proud to undertake a promotion to the national T&G Education Team for 2018.
